Dollar Donation Bucket for the Worldwide Lyme Awareness Billboard Campaign

Thank you so much everyone! Here is the billboard we raised money for! 


There was a little money left over not enough to get a second billboard but enough to also purchase these banners and signs for state events.

This one may end up in Illinios, Wisconsin or California depending on which protest the person I sent it to goes to.

As part of the Worldwide Lyme Disease Awareness Protest, the United States has started a Billboard Campaign.  We would like to place a couple different billboards across the US. These places are still being voted upon by Lyme patients. Please leave your idea of where you think a good location would be and why or vote here: Billboard Location Poll.

To Raise money for this we have started the "Dollar Donation" request. We know Lyme patients are struggling to pay for their own treatments and living exspenses so we are just asking everyone to donate a dollar if you can.

A local Vet and the woman from the State of Maine CDC Lyme Disease division will be coming to be on hand at our Lyme Disease Awareness event May 17th and there will be a FREE MATINEE SHOWING of Under Our Skin here at the local theater on Sunday May 18th.

Worldwide Lyme Awareness 2014 Billboad Campaign

We are selling tshirts and doing a fundraiser to try to put up as many billboards as we can across the states. It will all depend on how much money we raise to how many we can put up. The goal is to have as many as possible in the major cities of states that are both known to be 'epidemic and states that are not."  The signs will have a "Lyme Lives Here" theme. We are trying to grab the compassion of those who will see the signs, which will be the public, media and medical community alike. So, we are planning on pulling some heart strings of America with these billboards. Here is an example of billboards that have been put up before.

The Wisconsin Lyme Network nonprofit organization just launched a Lyme Awareness Campaign and placed 5 poster billboards up in South eastern WI. This one is located on Capital Dr. in Pewaukee. More Information at: Wisconsin Lyme Network



This billboard is in Columbia, NC. This was done in May, 2000, for National Lyme Awareness month.

There will be many online campaign this year in the  Worldwide Lyme Awareness Protest 2014. Below are several Lyme Awareness Campaigns that people can participate in. 


Lyme Lives Here Campaign

* You can use this poster in a couple different ways. Print out this sign and place in your yard.
* Put this sign in your profile picture in May.
* You can make your own "Lyme Lives Here" sign.
* Take pictures and send it in to us for us to post and so we can use the pictures for the blog and media purposes.

This map was made to show how many Chronic Lyme Patients there are across the world. It is not a map to show where people got infected. The ponit of this map is to show where care, financial aid, assistance and medical care is needed for patients.

S-L-A-M.org started a campaign several years ago in the US. We are now going to expand WORLDWIDE!  Each May, people hang up lime green ribbons wherever they can. You can tie them on your porch, your mail box, get permission from your town to tie them on phone polls... anywhere that will bring attention to Lyme Disease. So this May, get ready to do it again.
